| Event Description | We will be participating in steps 1 and 2 of Scarce's Super Crayon Project at our in-person meeting! Please bring used or new crayons to the in-person meeting. We will be sorting the crayons by color and peeling the wrappers off. What is the Scarce Super Crayon Project? The Super Crayon project diverts broken, unusable crayons from going to the landfill. SCARCE recycles crayon pieces into Super Crayons. Volunteers help peel, sort, and melt the broken crayons. The liquid crayon mixture is poured into molds to form large Super Crayons in a variety of shapes which can be used by children with special needs. |
